On December 13, 2023, the School of International Education recognized 10 outstanding students who excelled in the Duolingo English Test, awarding them certificates of honor and prizes. The event aimed to further ignite students’ enthusiasm for Duolingo English learning and encourage their active participation in the Duolingo English Test (DET).

The Duolingo English Test serves as a critical platform to demonstrate students’ English skills and assess their real-world English application. Therefore, the school will strengthen its efforts in mobilizing students’ participation, preparing resources, and fostering a culture of “competition-driven teaching, learning, and innovation”. These initiatives aim to enhance DET pass rates and boost overseas study enrollment, laying a robust foundation for advancing the internationalization of talent cultivation at Xuchang University.

为进一步激发学生的多邻国英语学习热情，鼓励我院学子积极参加多邻国英语水平测试、展现英语学习风采，我院于2023年12月13日，对积极参加多邻国英语竞赛且取得优异成绩的10名学生进行表彰，并颁发荣誉证书和奖品。

我院历来高度重视并积极组织学生参加各级各类竞赛实践活动。多邻国英语水平测试是学生展示个人风采、检验英语应用能力的平台，我院将持续做好此项赛事的组织动员和筹备工作，大力营造“以赛促教、以赛促学、以赛促创”的英语学习氛围，切实提高我院学生多邻国英语考试通过率和出国留学率，为我校进一步提升人才培养国际化办学打下坚实基础。
