On December 13, 2023, the School of International Education recognized 10 outstanding students who excelled in the Duolingo English Test, awarding them certificates of honor and prizes. The event aimed to further ignite students’ enthusiasm for Duolingo English learning and encourage their active participation in the Duolingo English Test (DET).

The Duolingo English Test serves as a critical platform to demonstrate students’ English skills and assess their real-world English application. Therefore, the school will strengthen its efforts in mobilizing students’ participation, preparing resources, and fostering a culture of “competition-driven teaching, learning, and innovation”. These initiatives aim to enhance DET pass rates and boost overseas study enrollment, laying a robust foundation for advancing the internationalization of talent cultivation at Xuchang University.
