On February 24,2024, the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Office of the School of International Education and the Academic Department of the Youth League Committee jointly organized the 2nd “We Love the Voice” English Fun Dubbing Activity to enhance students’ enthusiasm for English learning, particularly in oral English practice, enrich their extracurricular life and cultivate their expressive abilities.

This competition adopted a short video format, requiring individual participation and online submission. Upon releasing the event announcement, it received an overwhelming response, with students expressing excitement and eagerness to participate. After recording their creative performances, participants submitted their works to the designated email. By March 17, a total of 36 works were received. After careful evaluation by eight judges, six students were awarded prizes:

First Prize: Zhou Sujie;

Second Prize: Chen Sibing, Hu Fangfei;

Third Prize: Yue Yutong, Sun Yifan, Wang Ruoyu.

To better embody the characters, students made efforts to adapt their delivery to match the plot, thereby making the original characters appear more lively, adorable, and vivid.

This English dubbing activity not only honed participants’ oral English skills but also strengthened their expressive abilities through dubbing English clips, providing them with a platform to showcase their talents. We hope this competition will ignite students’ passion for English learning and help them appreciate the charm of language!
